A key figure on the current Formula 1 grid, Pierre Gasly has established himself over the seasons as one of the most talented French drivers of his generation. Winner of the 2020 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, he distinguished himself through his fighting spirit, consistency, and ability to extract the maximum performance from his car. Having progressed through the French and then international driver development programs, he climbed the ranks to become a permanent fixture at the highest level of motorsport, now representing the new generation of French drivers in F1.

For this event, he will take the wheel of an iconic car: the Renault RS10. Introduced in 1979, this single-seater made history by becoming the first turbocharged Formula 1 car to win a Grand Prix, at the French Grand Prix on the Dijon-Prenois circuit, with Jean-Pierre Jabouille at the wheel. Long considered audacious, even risky, the turbo technology developed by Renault would nevertheless revolutionize the sport and become the standard in the following years.

With its V6 turbo engine, the RS10 represents a true technological breakthrough in the history of Formula 1. Its success marked the beginning of the turbo era and symbolizes the spirit of innovation that characterizes the sport. Seeing it on the track today, driven by a current-generation driver, is a rare moment, blending heritage, performance, and legacy.

The presence of Pierre Gasly at the wheel of this historic single-seater is perfectly in line with the DNA of the KENNOL Historic French Grand Prix, which celebrates the golden age of motorsport each year by bringing together exceptional cars and renowned drivers. The 2026 edition promises once again to bring the history of Formula 1 to life through spectacular demonstrations and unique encounters between past and present.
